main timeline timebomb is strictly platonic, in my opinion, but i also think that there’s a reason for that.

more than anything, jinx needs a friend. throughout the series, she’s never had a FRIEND. she’s had a sister, she had a child who depended on her, she had people who cared about her like sevika, but she never had a FRIEND. and that’s why ekko being there for her platonically is miles more important than him being there for her romantically.

i keep seeing posts saying he loves powder, not jinx, and they make me so angry because it’s simply not true. he loves powder romantically, because that universes powder didn’t need friends because she already had them.

jinx, however, has no one, especially after isha dies. vi is too caught up in caitlyn, sevika is off doing her own thing, silco is gone—she has no one there for her. jinx didn’t need romantic love, she needed a friend, and so that’s what main timeline ekko was for her—and to me, that’s more beautiful than any romantic storyline they ever could’ve written. ekko loved her enough to stop her from killing herself. ekko loved her enough to seek her out.

ekko came to her, just as reed shannon said, as a friend, because he loves her, and that’s the sweetest thing he could’ve done.

a lot of people rush to ascribe a political party to CEO billionaires like Mark Zuckerberg and it’s completely missing the forest for the trees. sure, you can say they’re whatever party you want. but at the end of the day these people are simply opportunists. they will take anything they’re given from ANYONE willing to give it because they will always want more. more money, more power. it doesn’t matter who’s offering it as long as they get it. remember that.

The anxiety is real.. I really hope Luke doesn’t get hate if he doesn’t wish Nicola happy birthday on social media. There might be a very real chance he will do it personally by texting her!

I know how you feel. The importance people place on social media interactions is weird to me, because they know each other in person?? Have each other’s phone numbers?? Probably know each other’s addresses?? Why is it so important that he posts wishes on ig?

It isn’t, but yeah. Luke can’t win. It’s clear to me as even yesterday I saw people slag him off for a bare minimum comment and that he had to say something or it would’ve been weird. He literally didn’t have to do anything. Full stop. He clearly wanted to, so he did.

We’ll see how today goes but I find comfort in knowing that Luke doesn’t care what these weird people online think. He does as he pleases. It’s very obvious in his online presence, and it’s something I like about him.

Kinda crazy how birthdays sneak up on you, isn’t it? But I’m having a chill one this year, just eating yummy food and snuggling under a heated blanket.
